Arthur Thomas ''HawkBuzz'' Hawks, 62, of Valentines, Virginia died Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Arthur, a native of Charleston, West Virginia, was the son of the late Arthur Richard and Velma Moses Hawks. He was also preceded in death by his brother, James Richard Hawks.

He worked as an electrician at Kapstone Kraft Paper Corporation.

A member of Pleasant Hill Christian Church, Arthur loved golf, boating, friends and family. He lived life to the fullest.

Surviving is his wife, Marsha C. Hawks; his sister, Marjorie H. Cox of Roanoke Rapids; his niece, Jamie Hawks Gager; and nephews, Brandon Hawks and Paul Cox.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, April 20, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Christian Church in Gasburg, Virginia with Minister Greg Hand officiating.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Askew Funeral and Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids where the family will receive friends Saturday, April 19, 2014 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
